My Morning Brief — Calendar & Weather
Turn your connected iCloud or Google Calendar into a visual daily briefing in ChatGPT: appointments, schedule conflicts, weather, a downloadable PNG card, and a short summary. Setup requires your approval.
The result
Once a supported calendar is connected, the user can generate a personalized vertical PNG card for the current day, showing real event titles, times and locations, overlap warnings, weather, and a download link. A summary of up to five short lines accompanies the card. Recurring scheduled delivery can be configured separately when the user explicitly approves and the required ChatGPT features are available.
How it works
The Skill guides the user through choosing iCloud Calendar or Google Calendar, granting read-only access to their own calendars, and selecting a home city, time zone, and holiday region. It starts with a one-time preview using live data. With separate approval, it can propose two scheduled ChatGPT tasks for working and nonworking days. Scenic image generation is separate from deterministic overlay of event names, times and weather figures. Missing sources or tools are reported instead of replaced with invented information.
Requirements
This is a portable Skill package containing instructions and local components—not an independently hosted cloud service. Downloading the ZIP does not authorize accounts or start an automatic schedule. Do not market it as one-click activation.
Quick start
1. Download skill.zip and install the Skill in ChatGPT if your plan and workspace support Skill installation.
2. Start it with “Set up my morning brief.” Choose either iCloud Calendar or Google Calendar.
3. Connect your own calendar through the ChatGPT authorization interface. Approve a read-only preview, then set your city and time zone.
4. Review the one-time PNG briefing. If it works and the required features are available, separately approve recurring scheduled tasks.
Important: installing the ZIP does not automatically connect a calendar or create daily tasks. Availability depends on your ChatGPT account. Scheduled Google Calendar access still requires an account-specific test.
